At KRT Building Consultants Ltd, we're wholly owned and operated by three Chartered & Registered Building Surveyors with over 70 years' of Building Surveying experience between us, over 25 of which are NZ based.
We have a great opportunity for an experienced Building Surveyor to become an integral part of our team, with shares in the company potentially available to the right candidate in due course.
Our ideal applicant will be a Chartered and Registered Building Surveyor. However, consideration will be given to the right candidate who is a member of only one of these professional bodies, or is genuinely on the cusp of achieving professional membership with one of them.
In this role you will be responsible for the delivery of professional Building Surveying and Project Management services to commercial, retail, private and public sector clients, with a particular focus on the provision of investigation, reporting and contract administration duties. You'll have a problem solving, "can do" attitude to achieve client objectives within accepted codes and standards of practice.
Other key skills and attributes include:
Experience with the provision of professional consultancy services including: - Technical due diligence - Engineer to Contract (NZS3910) - Condition surveys - Defect investigation and reporting - Quality control inspections and reporting - Strategic asset management
Experience in MS Office software packages including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with time keeping and data storage and basic accounting principles
Workflow management related experience
The position is permanent full time, and can be either as an employee or as a self-employed contractor.
