  • We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef for our local café situated in Botany. We take pride not only in providing great food and a great service to our customers but providing a fun environment for our staff to work in.     The role & responsibilities:
    • In conjunction with the head chef prepare and present all kitchen dishes & cabinet food to a high standard. 
    • High attention to speed, quality and consistency of food delivery.
    • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards within the kitchen areas and overseeing strict daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
    • Management of food control plan.
    • Engage in being a key player in our team demonstrating a positive attitude to workplace culture, team work, training and mentoring.
    • Engage and have input in menu & meal design as well as ensuring food costs meet agreed targets.
    • 3 years experience in a busy café kitchen
    • Demonstrated experience of leading a team
    • The ability to motivate, engage a manage a team
    • The ability to manage food costs and wastage
    • Professional chef qualification
