    The Opportunity

    What we're seeking is an experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Coordinator who will be responsible for supporting the site in engaging all workers to have a proactive approach to safety, maintaining an effective risk management system, coordinating training requirements, leading the emergency response team and assisting with compliance of regulatory requirements and ongoing accreditation of our HSE systems.

    The successful candidate will have the required HSE knowledge to understand HSE best practice and safety principles. They will also have experience in the application of safety legislation and other relevant HSE obligations in a manufacturing/industrial business.

    You can expect to:
    • Engage workers to ensure they adhere to safety requirements, policies and procedures
    • Conduct risk assessments and write up SOP's
    • Conduct incident investigations
    • Optimize document control of the HSE systems
    • Coordinate safety training requirements
    • Assist in on the job safety training and coaching
    • Participate in safety improvement projects
    • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) system
    • Preparation of safety toolbox & reports
    • Contribute to a positive team environment
    Skills & Experience

    Your toolbox of skills and experiences will have:
    • Experience in the Health and Safety (HSE) field
    • Experienced in the application of safety legislation
    • Safety experience in manufacturing / industrial businesses
    • Computer skills - Intermediate knowledge and applied application of Microsoft Office functions
    • Experience in emergency response management
    • Managing document control systems
    • Safety qualification (desirable)
