Charta Packaging Limited specialise in manufacturing high quality corrugated cardboard packaging and premium printing. Charta Packaging is a division of Visy, who are a global leader in sustainable packaging and resource recovery. Based in modern premises in East Tamaki, Highbrook, Charta has some of the latest state of the art machinery, unique to New Zealand.
We continue to operate safely and effectively throughout restrictions to provide necessary packaging to those essential services such as the food, beverage and health care industries.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Contribute to develop and implement plant improvements as well as maintaining the operations of all factory machinery and equipment
Ensure the tasks within CMMS are relevant and up to date
Ensure effective service of production machinery and equipment to help minimise breakdowns and downtime
Provide technical advice to the manufacturing teams
Ensure manufacturing uptime by completing routine maintenance tasks and resolve unplanned breakdowns
Assist the engineering team to ensure all electrical and mechanical hazards are managed or closed in agreed time frames
Adherence to the Visy Health & Safety standards at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
You will have a tertiary or trade qualification
You will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Maintenance and Engineering
Past experience with Asset Care
Experience working within a projects team
Proven experience to problem solve and make decisions
Capable of working unsupervised
You will be a highly motivated individual with strong organisational and excellent communication skills across all levels
You will be service and results orientated
Lean Manufacturing Qualifications and Process Qualifications are desirable but not essential
