Smits Group has been a leading supplier of automotive consumables for over 40 years, importing major international brands such as Meguiar's, Spies Hecker, Rislone, Little Trees, House of Kolar, Lyndar and Peak to name a few.
We are a very strong marketing company with exceptional in-house facilities, and we now have an opening for a Graphic Designer with strong all-round marketing and design skills to join our very busy team. This position has special focus on communication across social platform audiences.
Salary band: $25 - $29 per hour
Full Time position of 40 hours per week
Our successful candidate would have the following minimum skills:- Good general design skills & concepts
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, lnDesign, Photoshop
- Social media & internet savvy
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
Tasks include but are not limited to:- Creative content writing
- Designing new & improving current website layout for optimum sales growth
- Updating & maintaining visuals for products across 5 websites (3 with Custom CMS system, 1 Silverstripe
- Maintaining active customer database
- Visuals for B-to-B presentations
- Preparing marketing material for retail customers
- Updating & maintaining product information
- Product and lifestyle photography
- Video creation and editing for web and social media
- Poster/banner/signage design and print on Plan Printer
- Book and catalogue design print and bind (in-house perfect binder)
- E-Newsletter design and distribution
- Social Media marketing (Facebook/Instagram/Twitter)
We are looking for an energetic person who has an eye for detail, thrives on variety, and has well-rounded, hands-on marketing and design skills. Given the industry that we are in, a love of cars is also a bonus. This opportunity is open to suitably qualified New Zealanders with minimum 3 years work experience in this specific field.
