Elephant Hill is a luxury, family-owned winery & vineyard estate on the picturesque coastline in Hawke's Bay. We specialise in producing hand crafted, small batch, fine wines from our three sustainably farmed vineyards. The wines are highly rated by critics in New Zealand and globally and are exported to many markets around the world.
Our architecturally designed Cellar Door which overlooks the Pacific Ocean has attracted many visitors over the years and is considered a 'must visit' destination in Hawke's Bay. We are very optimistic that the year ahead will see a return of wine lovers, domestic and international, to our winegrowing region. In anticipation of this, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team in a permanent full-time role as Cellar Door Manager, based at the winery in Te Awanga. What we are looking for:
Relevant experience in delivering high-end or luxury, customer sales or service e.g. Cellar Door, hospitality, or retail
Good team leadership and organisational qualities
Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Great wine knowledge, and a genuine passion for talking, presenting, and selling fine wines
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and help out where needed, and lead by example
A high level of customer service standards. Professional & friendly, attentive & responsive
A Duty Managers Certificate is preferred (or the ability to attain one for which support will be given)
The Cellar Door is open 5 days per week, 11am - 5pm, Thursday - Monday, so there will be requirement to work weekends and public holidays. However we endeavour to allow staff weekends off whenever possible.
